POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man faces several charges after fleeing police following a complaint of an erratic driver in SeaComm Plaza parking lot Monday night, according to Potsdam police.
Police said they observed a person operating a motorcycle without a helmet at an unsafe speed.
When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over the subject fled the area into an apartment complex where he attempted to conceal the motorcycle.
Samuel J. Adams, 25, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to comply with a lawful order, driving without a helmet, and operating out of class.
He was also cited for unregistered motor vehicle and speed not reasonable.
Adams was issued appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam court Oct. 12.
