POTSDAM -- A Potsdam man was arrested Friday stemming from an alleged domestic dispute on Aug. 23, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ahmed S. Khalil, 36, was charged with two counts of unlawful imprisonment, two counts of third-degree menacing and two counts of second-degree harassment, officers said.
Khalil allegedly restrained a person from leaving a residence and placed that person in fear by physical contact in the Town of Pierrepont, deputies said.
On a separate occasion he reportedly restrained the same person from leaving his vehicle and placed that person in fear by physical contact in the Village of Potsdam, officers said.
He was arraigned in Canton court and released under the supervision of probation, officers said.
An order of protection was issued in favor of the victim, deputies said.
