PARISHVILLE -- A Potsdam resident was charged with driving while intoxicated following a personal-injury car crash on State Highway 72 Saturday, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Cainnan J. Dutton, 23, was charged with first-offense DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, unreasonable speed, failure to keep right and operating a motor vehicle with unsafe tires, deputies said.
The charges followed investigation to a report of an overturned vehicle on the roadway with no occupants, officers said.
Dutton was reportedly located on foot near the scene and transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment of injuries.
He was cited and released, police said.
