POTSDAM — A Potsdam resident was charged after allegedly running out in front of a police vehicle and nearly being hit by it, according to Potsdam police.
Ajani M. Gibbs, 28, was charged with obstructing vehicular traffic at 9:45 p.m. on Market Street, officers said.
Gibbs reportedly ran in front of the patrol car when crossing from Maple Street to Market Street, causing the officer to have to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting him, police said.
Gibbs was cited and released on a ticket returnable in Potsdam court May 16.
