CANTON – A Potsdam man was remanded to county jail in lieu of bail after state police discovered he had reportedly been involved in three separate crimes in Canton, Potsdam and Russell.
David A. Ashlaw, 31, was initially arrested Saturday in Russell for second-degree burglary in the town of Canton, police report.
He was additionally arrested on charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree grand larceny from a separate incident that reportedly occurred in the town of Potsdam.
Finally, after police searched him, they found drugs, a hypodermic needle and pot, charging him with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was arraigned on all charges in Canton Town Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash or $1,500 bond.
