POTSDAM – A Potsdam man was charged Saturday for allegedly grabbing a child during a Nov. 23 youth hockey practice, yelling at the child, and kicking the kid's skate, according to Potsdam police.

Christopher J. Martin, 40, was charged with second-degree harassment, police said.

Martin was a spectator at the time of the incident and allegedly walked onto the ice and grabbed the 10 year-old child who was not related to him, officers said.

Martin was issued a criminal summons to appear in Potsdam Town Court Dec. 6 at 9:30 a.m., police said.
