CANTON — A Potsdam man was arrested Sunday for promoting prison contraband following a May 1 complaint, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Samuel J. Adams, 26, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting prison contraband, deputies said.
He allegedly was in possession of a suboxone strip while he was an inmate at the St. Lawrence County Jail, officers said.
He was arraigned in Canton court and released under the supervision of probation, deputies said.
