Potsdam Lions Club inducts new members

POTSDAM – The Potsdam Lions Club inducted two new members during their first meeting of the New Year.

Kathy Cassel and Charlene Barton, joined together with twenty three current Potsdam Lions members to serve and support the Potsdam community.

Lions International is the largest Service Organization in the World, with over 1 million members, originating from a need for community support and involvement since 1917.

The Potsdam Lions Club, 80 years strong, was formed in 1936 by business men who wanted to help Potsdam be an even better place to work, live and enjoy, and for generations to come,” according to Lion treasurer Michelle Theisen. “We all enjoy the result of their efforts to this day.”

Meetings are the first and third Tuesday's of the month at 6 p.m. at 1/2 Tons on Market Street.
