POTSDAM -- The Lions Club here recently donated $2,585 each to two local community organizations -- Literacy is For Everyone and Potsdam Snack Pack. The donations come from money raised during the club’s 15th annual 2017 Radio Weeks Community Fundraiser.

A total of $5,170 was donated to the fundraiser by about 50 area businesses and eight individuals.

In return for donations, WSNN and WPDM Radio provide courtesy radio ads for the donators which are aired for two weeks, from June 5-17.

LIFE is an adult and youth literacy education program provided by the Potsdam Public Library. Potsdam Snack Pack is a supplemental nutrition program which assists young students at Lawrence Avenue Elementary School.
