POTSDAM – The Potsdam Lions Club donated $1,230 each to Potsdam Helping Hands and The Potsdam Neighborhood Center at their Jan. 5 meeting.
The donations were given by Potsdam area residents and from surrounding communities through a Potsdam Lions Club community-wide raffle. The raffle ran from Oct. 27 to Dec. 15 and raised $2,460.
The raised money was shared between the two Potsdam community assistance organizations who help individuals and families with needed aid and resources in various areas.
The donations were given to help individuals and families in the Potsdam and surrounding communities with heating costs during the coldest times of winter.
The Lions wished to express a thank you to everyone, both merchant and individual donators, and volunteer Potsdam Lions Club members, who helped these donations become possible.
