POTSDAM -- February will be Fine-Free Month at the Potsdam Public Library.
Patrons having overdue library materials are asked to return them in February with no questions asked and all fines will be waived.
While it is not necessary, library personnel ask that these same patrons may consider donating non-perishable items to the Potsdam Neighborhood Center downstairs. A collection box will be in the library.
“While food is important,” said library director Pat Musante, “also greatly needed are health and beauty aids and cleaning products such as toothpaste, brushes, soap, paper towels, detergents, etc. We ask the community to help us get our materials, which they paid for, returned and to extend a hand to our growing number of neighbors who are having economic problems.”
