POTSDAM -- Bear pAAK students at A.A. Kingston Middle School recently presented "Operation Exploration" in the middle school cafeteria.
Bear pAAK, an after school science program that is sponsored and supported by sixth grade teachers Michelle McMahon and Dave Vroman, in conjunction with Sue Stacy from SUNY Potsdam and her MST students.
The teams included sixth grade students and MST students who demonstrated seven different science topics.
“The demonstrations were a great success and enjoyed by the entire sixth grade class, parents, teachers, administration and board of education representatives with hands on experiences, wonderful learning opportunities and valuable information,” said Sheila Tiernan.
The team "Making Ice Cream" investigated changing states of matter, chemical reactions and properties of ice and salt while making a tasty treat.
