POTSDAM -- The K-Kids of the Kiwanis Club held a community service activity at the McDonald’s Restaurant, 171 Market St., recently.
Their service was to open doors, sweep the dining area, wash and clean tables and help dispose of materials after the consumer finished with their order. This project is one of many programs which teach K-Kids proper etiquette and service to the community.
Members of the K-Kids attending were Alivia Gilson, Olivia Stark, Jazzalyn Williams and Jack Gilbert.
The K-Kids, Builders, and Key Club members will next direct their attention to the upcoming Potsdam Kiwanis pancake breakfast fundraiser called “No Foolin’ Pancake Breakfast.” The event will be held at the United Methodist Church dining room, 26 Main St., Saturday, April 1, from 7:30 a.m.-noon.
The breakfast will include: pancakes with choice of blueberries, chocolate chips or just plain, real Maple Syrup, scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon or sausage, O.J. and choice of milk or hot beverages. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for kids; seniors and children younger than 5 eat for free.
