POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Icestorm 12-Under girls captured the NYS Amateur hockey Association Tier II Championship recently in Rochester.
They won all five games scoring a total of 25 goals with only three goals scored against them; including shut outs in the semi final and championship games.
The Icestorm consists of girls from several area communities and are coached by Ernie Jeneault, Todd Sloan, John Cipullo, and Casey Jones.
Before the Icestorm traveled to Rochester they got some advice from the Clarkson University women's hockey team during one of the practices; and Abby Tardelli, the goalie from SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team, provided assistance to the Icestorm goalie.
