POTSDAM -- The 19th Hobble Gobble Prediction Run/Walk on Nov. 19 raised $14,000 for the Potsdam Holiday Fund and other local charities.
The race has raised $151,500 to date and organizers say they are looking forward to the 20th anniversary in 2017.
The race generally sees around 500 participants. The object of the competition is not to race one another but to be the ones who most accurately predict how long it will take them to finish the course. The eight closest predictors on the short course and four closest on the long course won a frozen turkey, a trophy, and their names on next year's event shirt.
