POTSDAM – The Potsdam High School Class of 2013, with finals coming up and just a couple of weeks from graduation, has blown off a little steam with a couple of ambitious jokes.
Seniors had set up a few good pranks, ready for their classmates Monday morning.
The big one was the van, done up in Sandstoner blue and orange, parked at the main entrance. The unique vehicle, with a lawn tractor and a TV on top and floats out either side, was painted with slogans like “Cowboy Up” and “Stoners.”
There was also a 'For Sale' sign on the building and, before classes started, a bit of a beach party in the lobby, with a kiddie pool and all.
After some consternation reported at first by administrators, the school settled in for a regular day of classes, with a few extra grins exchanged across classrooms and down school halls.
“It was all in good fun, and they cleaned up the lobby when the bell rang,” said Principal Joann Chambers.
The van was set to be removed by mid-day.
