POTSDAM -- Potsdam High School has created the school’s first Youth Philanthropy Council.
The Youth Philanthropy Council of the Northern New York Community Foundation accepts funds from the board of directors of the foundation for charitable uses, primarily to benefit North Country residents.
This is the first year for the Potsdam chapter of this council.
The group will award $10,000 in grants to organizations providing services in St. Lawrence, Lewis or Jefferson counties. The initiative is sponsored by donors to the Northern New York Community Foundation, Renzi Foodservice and the Grasseroots Fund.
For more information, contact the foundation at 782-7110 or info@nnycf.org.
