Potsdam, Heuvelton, Star Lake and Waddington teens take honors at State Fair horse show

CANTON – St. Lawrence County’s Reintree 4-H Club came back with plenty of ribbons from competition the in the 4-H Horse Show arena at the New York State Fair.

The Reintree 4-H Club, under the direction of Jerry Dean, Reintree Stables, Canton, competed in several classes competing with more than 60 riders in each class.

The Reintree Team was Kasey LeManquais, Potsdam, Madelyn Lawrence, Star Lake, Sabrina Osuch, Heuvelton, and Lydia Maskell from Waddington.

• In the Hunter Under Saddle Jr. Division, Lydia Maskell took top honors with her mount Co-Pilot; Madelyn Lawrence and Totally Nightlife took third place.

• In the Hunter Hack Jr. Division, Sabrina Osuch and Mountain Dancer took second place, and Madelyn Lawrence was third with Total Package.

• In the Sr. Division Hunter Hack Kasey LaManquais, took fourth place on Cool Gin.

• In the Sr. Equitation on the Flat, class Kasey LeManquais took top honors.

• In the Jr. Equitation on the Flat Class, Lydia Maskell came in fourth with Madelyn Lawrence taking the eighth place ribbon.

• Hunter Over Fences Jr. saw all three junior team members in the ribbons. Lydia Maskell was second, Madelyn Lawrence took fourth place and Sabrina Osuch came away with the fifth place ribbon.

• Hunter Over Fences Sr. saw Kasey LeManquais take second place honors.

• Lydia Maskell took top honors in the Equitation over Fences Jr. Division; Madelyn Lawrence came in third and Sabrina Osuch took sixth.
