POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Fire Department had a busy morning Friday, answering four calls between 4:28 and 10:30 a.m.
The first call, at 4:28 a.m., was to Evans and White Ace Hardware on Maple Street, in response to a fire alarm there. The alarm system was faulty, according to Mike Lozipone, Potsdam FD driver. He said Evans and White would be fixing the alarm today.
A vehicle accident across from 317 S. Canton Road brought out fire and rescue volunteers at 5:54 a.m. They had to cut away trees to get the driver out of the car after it left the roadway. She was checked for injury and was cleared, Lozipone said.
And there were two false fire alarms at Clarkson university today, at about 9 and 10:30 a.m.
