POTSDAM -- Officials with the American Red Cross say they are assisting a Lawrence Avenue family of five after a Thursday boiler explosion forced them to evacuate their home.
Red Cross says it is providing temporary assistance to three adults and two children, ages 2 and 3.
An Red Cross news release did not name the family. Red Cross Regional Director of Communications Kimmy Venter said their policy prohibits her from identifying them.
Potsdam Fire Department and St. Lawrence County Emergency Services officials were not available for comment.
