POTSDAM – The Elks Lodge 2074 is extending its candy bar drive until the end of March.
The candy bars will be distributed to soldiers as they return from overseas deployments.
Donations of funds or candy bars can be delivered to the lodge at 10 Elm St., or sent to P.O. Box 415, 13676-0415.
The Elks will be at the Canton Kinney Drugs collecting donations from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. March 10.
In addition, they have drop boxes at B99.3, Canton Save A Lot, Harris Medical, Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, Kuno Food Marts (Canton, Colton, Parishville, Russell, Waddington), Potsdam Elks Lodge, Potsdam IGA, Potsdam Ponderosa and Potsdam Save A Lot.
The Elks have collected 3,286 candy bars so far. Their goal is 10,000.
