POTSDAM -- Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074 recently made a $500 donation towards the Garrett Phillips Memorial Fund.
The donation was presented during the Garrett Phillips second annual Kick Ball Tournament. The Memorial Fund is a scholarship fund that is set up in loving memory of Garrett John Phillip’s, whose life was tragically taken on Oct. 24, 2011.
The scholarship fund will benefit school programs, organizations and individual students in the A.A.K. Middle School and High School at Potsdam Central School that are in need of funding.
Potsdam Elk member Tim Welpe, DDGER, is pictured presenting the donation to event organizer Tandy Cyrus.
Assisting with the presentation were Elk members Jim Love, Sherri Love, Lisa Evans, Laurie House, Zack Love, Marcus Keleher, Tyler Keleher, Corey Lavoie, John Jones, Mike Manor, Matt Carista and Jerrid Lavoie.
Also pictured are event committee members Debra Thomas and Renee Seymour.
Approximately $4,367 was raised in support of the scholarship program.
