POTSDAM -- Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074 recently held its second annual hockey shoot at Pine Street Arena. Approximately 30 competitors participated.
Those achieving first place honors in the different age divisions were: Under 7 Division: Trinity Trahan (Girls) and Brayden Cutler (boys), 8 & 9 year old Division:
Taylor Benda (girls) and Trenton Trahan (boys), 10 & 11 year old Division: Olivia Scott and 12 & 13 year old Division: Mattie Tremper. The Division winners, along with other competitors, are pictured with event volunteers Mary Charleston, PSVP, Dave Dorothy, Terry Davis, Terry Pike, Bruce Wells, Roger Hewitson, Christine Burns and Tim Welpe, DDGER. Volunteers not pictured were Jim Kirka, Greg Butler, Jim Kirka and Don Peterson. The first place winners received hockey sticks that were autographed by the Clarkson University Men’s Hockey Team. Second place winners received tickets to a Clarkson Hockey game.
Third and fourth place finishers received Jerseys, tooks and pins that were donated by the Potsdam State Men’s Hockey Team.
