CANTON – The Potsdam Elks Club has donated $500 toward the cost of an access ramp for a family in need.
The Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country said the ramp will be installed by the end of the month and will greatly improve the quality of life for the family at their home.
A request for a donation to help with the costs of installing this ramp was made by one of CPANC’s Medicaid Service Coordinators and the Elks Lodge was the first to respond.
Tim Welpe, Potsdam Elks Community Service Chair, is seen in the photo handing the check to Medicaid Service Coordinator Dana Bray.
“The Potsdam Elks are honored to be able to support those in need and strive to make a positive difference in our local communities,” said Welpe.
CP of the North Country’s Director of Public Relations, Makenzie Taylor, said, “The Potsdam Elks have always been a big supporter of our organization and our programs. They sponsor and participate in our Polar Bear Golf fundraiser each year and they have made a number of donations, like this one, throughout the years. We definitely appreciate their dedication to community service and their active involvement in our organization.”
