PARISHVILLE — The Potsdam Elks made a donation to support Parishville native Jamie Mitchell in her battle against Guillian-Barre syndrome (GBS).
GBS is a disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system.
In 2015 Mitchell was hospitalized in Burlington, Vt., placed in a medical coma and received blood transfusions along with a permanent trachea tube.
