POTSDAM -- Red Grammer put on a fine show for the audience at Potsdam Central School last week as a fundraiser for the Cathy Frick Memorial Fund.

A fund was set up after the death of the popular PCS teacher this summer. The funds will go toward college for Frick’s children.

Grammer, a musician well known for his performances at schools, has performed before in Potsdam, but this year Lawrence Avenue Elementary School won on online video contest sponsored by the musician with the prize of an all-day visit to the school, including a daytime school concert, three daytime "informances," and an evening concert for the community.

The concert was in Potsdam High School on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Those who did not attend the concert can still contribute to the fund.

To make a donation to the account, visit First Niagara at 14 Elm St. or send a check made out to the Cathy Frick Memorial Fund to her parents' house: John Bruce, 8055 U.S. 11, Potsdam, NY 13676 or visit https://www.gofundme.com/yj96x8.

People may also contribute to the Cathy Bruce Frick Bucket Filler Scholarship, which will give two Potsdam elementary school children the funds needed to rent an instrument. To donate, mail a check to Cathy Bruce Frick Bucket Filler Scholarship: PCS Music Friends, Kim Jukic, 9 Missouri Avenue, Potsdam, NY 13676.
