POTSDAM -- Theresa Chambers won the recent Potsdam Educational Opportunities Fund (PEOF) iPad raffle .
The PEOF Advisory Committee says they thank all who bought tickets, supporting K-12 education in the Potsdam area. The raffle raised several hundred dollars.
The fund provides financial support for K-12 educational activities in the Potsdam area. The organizations goal is to provide educators in Potsdam with resources needed to develop creative activities and opportunities that enrich the educational experience of the students.
To this end, PEOF is expecting to provide such grants early in 2015.
The PEOF operates under the auspices of the Northern New York Community Foundation. Anyone interested in donating can send a check to: NNY Community Foundation at 120 Washington St, Suite 400, Watertown, NY 13601 with PEOF mentioned in the memo line.
