POTSDAM – Cottage Street is in for a resurfacing starting Wednesday or Thursday, May 16 or 17.
The plan is to resurface about 600 feet of the street from Market Street to Waverly Street.
It begins with milling the existing asphalt; then new storm sewer lines and concrete curbs go in; and finally a new asphalt surface will be laid.
The Department of Public Works warns there will be closures and delays during the project, which is expected to be done by July 27.
Signs along Market Street will go up on Monday, May 14, warning drivers of the impending work.
People with questions may call Superintendent of Public Works Bruce Henderson at 265-4620.
