As college students return, Potsdam cops crack down on open container, underage violations

POTSDAM – The Potsdam Police Department staged an early-semester crackdown on open alcohol container and underage alcohol possession violations Friday night and early Saturday.

Kyle A. Strong, 19, of Groton, Mass, was charged with open container, littering, unlawful possession of alcohol person under 21 years of age, and unlawful possession of marijuana shortly after 11 p.m. on State Street.

Andrew D. Stahl, 24, Canton, and Joseph D. Hemker, 22, Rochester, were charged with open container at 11:27 p.m. on Pierrepont Avenue.

Max E. McCann, 19, Potsdam, and Jeremy B. Price, 19, Pelham were charged with open container and underage possession with intent to consume at 11:38 p.m. on Bay Street.

Tyler A. O’Brien, 20, Liverpool, was charged with open container and underage possession with intent to consume at 11:55 p.m. on Hamilton Street.

Dylan J. Caldiero, 19, Buffalo, was charged with open container and underage possession with intent to consume at 12:06 a.m. on Bay Street.

Eric A. Mazzoni, 20, Camillus, was charged with open container and underage possession with intent to consume at 12:50 a.m. on State Street.

Each was issued a ticket ordering a court appearance at a later date.
