POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Rotary Club, the Potsdam Kiwanis Club, and the Potsdam Farmers’ Market are collaborating on a literacy outreach project at the market, “Market Book Safari.”
The Rotary Club donated books and money to support the program. Kiwanis also donated books, and the farmers’ market is using the website bookcrossing.com, which allows participants to track the movement of traveling books.
Each book is pre-registered with a specific tracking code and will be hidden at various booths at the market through August.
Children are welcome to take a book, free of charge, read it, and release it again to a location of their choosing.
