NICHOLVILLE -- The Duquette Submission Fighting Academy has announced six students have earned Brown Belt Promotions.
The students not only put in three to five years of constant training in Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and wrestling, but were instrumental in their sparring with the academy lead instructor Jason Lapage in helping get Lapage ready for his fourth Mixed Martial Arts cage fight in Burlington last month.
Lapage won the match in 90 seconds via tapout due to a rear naked choke.
Students wanting to learn Mixed Martial Arts can call the academy at 261-8223.
