POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and YES-FM/Q Country 102.9/PAC 98.7 are joining together to collect items for care packages to be sent to US servicemen and women overseas.
Items can be dropped off at the Potsdam Chamber office Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. through June 30. Donation ideas include travel size shampoo, body wash, deodorant, disposal razors, sunscreen, hard candy powdered drink mix, gum, pop tarts, goldfish; seasoned salt, individual packets of hot sauce, mustard, relish, ketchup, playing cards, magazines, stationary, pens, paperback books, 100 percent cotton socks gloves, and hats.
If a business or organization would like to contribute contents for the packages, make sure we know so we can include a message notifying the recipient of your contribution.
“If you know of someone from Potsdam who is currently serving overseas, please let us know,” said chamber executive director Marylee Ballou. “We will love for some of these boxes to go to them.”
Contact the chamber at 274-9000 or potsdam@slic.com for more information.
