Potsdam chamber selling Clarkson hockey tickets as fundraiser

POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is selling Clarkson Golden Knight hockey tickets for the Feb. 20 home game against Dartmouth.

“The reserved seating tickets are $13 each,” explained Chamber Executive Director Marylee Ballou, “As a fundraising event for the chamber, we keep $10 from each ticket sold. The funds are put toward Summer Festival expenses.”

“It’s going to be a fun night to chill out with the chamber at Cheel with Clarkson University hockey,” Ballou said.

There is an added incentive to purchase tickets to this game from the Potsdam Chamber. Chamber ticket holders will have a 1 in 10 chance of winning something.

“We will have some surprise giveaways during the game which will include the chamber’s ever popular gift certificates as well as gift cards from chamber member businesses, a signed Clarkson Hockey jersey, and four tickets to the final regular season home game on Saturday February 21 against Harvard. One activity will be the North Country Savings Bank Money Grab. A person will dawn a pair of hockey gloves and try to collect as many dollars bills as they can in the allotted time. Another person will be given the chance to play Warmer, Colder. While blindfolded this person will be helped by the crowd to reach individuals holding prizes around the ice surface in the allotted time,” she said

“We will also have a couple of on ice activities that randomly drawn ticketholders might have the chance to do,” Ballou said.

Tickets can be purchased at the Potsdam Chamber office, 24 Market St., Monday-Friday 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. The chamber accepts cash and check payments only. Chamber board directors will also have tickets for sale.
