POTSDAM – The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for their 2017 Business of the Year award.

Businesses can be recognized for contributions to the local economy through its growth in sales, square footage and/or in growth of product or services they offer. Other criteria could be businesses that increased employment levels or a business whose improvements or very existence enhances the community.

Nomination forms can be found at the Potsdam Chamber office 24 Market Street and must be submitted by April 10 at 4 p.m. for consideration.

“The form can be used, but we also accept letters of nominations…as long as the nomination letter explains clearly how this nominee meets criteria for the award,” said Potsdam Chamber Executive Director Marylee Ballou.

The form can also be obtained upon request to potsdam@slic.com.

“Any person can submit a nomination,” she said. “We also appreciate support materials such as testimonials, letters of support, and press clippings with these nominations.”

The award will be presented at the Potsdam Chamber’s Spring Luncheon in early May.
