POTSDAM -- Potsdam Central School is looking to work with a company to help the school become more profitable and create long-term plans and goals.
CITEC Business Solutions, a non-profit organization based in Potsdam, has worked with businesses through the North Country for 30 years and recently started working with local schools, according to Potsdam Central School Superintendent Joann Chambers.
CITEC worked with Gouverneur Central School in 2013 on a strategic plan for the district.
“They will engage all the stakeholders to get a strategic plan,” she said. “There hasn’t been a long-range plan in awhile.”
Chambers said she had heard good things about CITEC’s work with other districts and wanted to bring them in for a presentation to the school board.
“This has been a goal of mine,” Chambers said.
If the school decides to work with CITEC it would likely begin this fall, Chambers said.
