POTSDAM -- The $27 million draft budget for Potsdam Central School for next school year is the subject of an information session with Potsdam Central Superintendent Pat Brady at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31 in the Kingston Middle School library, hosted by Potsdam PTSA.
This draft budget for 2011-12 of nearly $27 million calls for cuts of 18 full-time-equivalent positions and uses $1.4 million in reserve funding. It would also raise the tax levy by 4 percent.
PTSA members and the public are invited to hear about the plan and ask detailed questions at the meeting.
On May 11, the PTSA will hold a Board of Education Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. in the Kingston library.
On May 17, district residents will vote on the budget and for the board of education members, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the high school auditorium
