Potsdam Central boys and girls varsity lacrosse teams recently played a co-ed game to raise money for Hospice.
Potsdam Central student Mattie Beamer organized the match for a senior project. It raised $156.
The teams traded sticks, with the girls using the boys’ mesh-pocket sticks and the boys using the girls’ traditional-pocket sticks, to even the playing field.
“We are always thankful when community members organize events to support our services and it’s even more impressive when young people think of us,” Hospice Director of Development Kellie Hitchman said in a news release. “We were more than thrilled to learn of Mattie’s project!”
