POTSDAM — The Potsdam Board of Education approved funding on Tuesday to fix a leaking roof at their Annex Building that is used by special education students.
The building, rented by BOCES, has had serious leaking issues recently and Potsdam Central Superintendent Joann Chambers said she hopes for work to begin in the coming weeks.
Contractors RSI will complete the work to install a new roof for $69,750 that comes with a one-year contractor warranty. A 20-year warranty will cost the school an additional $2,500, along with $3,950 for snow guards and $9,500 in architect fees.
The repairs will be paid for using general school funds.
