POTSDAM — The Potsdam Central Board of Education on July 25 approved sports merger requests for 2017-18 from St. Regis Falls and Brasher Falls schools.
St. Regis Falls student Kerrigan Rondeau has played hockey for St. Lawrence Central, but they not longer have a hockey program, so for her senior year she wants to play for PCS.
Rondeau will provide her own transportation.
The board also approved a sports merger with Brasher Falls for girls’ varsity lacrosse. St. Lawrence Central does not offer girls’ lacrosse.
It is estimated that three to six players will participate from Brasher Falls.
