POTSDAM -- Potsdam Building Blocks Day Care will recognize the many community members who showed their support by dedicating time, energy and resources to get the day care center’s new home in shape.
A ceremony is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at 6604 State Highway 56, Potsdam.
Prior to being renovated, the building was made up of several doctor’s offices.
“It took a lot of manpower to turn the building into classrooms” said director Marlene Pickering. “There were a lot of walls that had to be torn down and a lot more rebuilding that had to be done to meet requirements for operating a daycare. We would not have been able to do it and be ready to open by June of this year if it had not been for our donors and volunteers.”
The event is open to the public. RSVP’s should be made to Sarah at 265-8260.
