POTSDAM — Potsdam Central School Board of Education Feb. 12 appointed coaches for the spring sports season and accepted the retirements of two teachers.
Long-time high school physical education teacher Joe Stark will retire at the end of the year. He has been with the district for 31 years.
Better Baker, a special education teacher in the elementary school, will retire from the district after an 18-year tenure.
The following coaches were appointed for the spring 2018 sports season:
• Allen Bends, varsity softball, $5,197
• Janelle Wingerter, JV softball, $3,010
• Trudy Knowlden, modified softball, $2,018
• Chris Donah, varsity baseball, $5,197
• Sean Scordo, JV baseball, $2,652
• Connor Prosper, modified baseball, $1,902
• Kevin Talcott, boy’s varsity lacrosse, $5,197
• Derek Greene, boy’s varsity lacrosse assistant, $3,010
• Zach Rottier, boy’s modified lacrosse, $2,122
• Sarah Bullard, girl’s varsity lacrosse, $5,197
• Michelle Varney, girl’s modified lacrosse, $2,018
• Anthony Vaccaro, boy’s varsity outdoor track, $5,197
• Jim Allott, boy’s varsity outdoor track assistant, $3,539
• April Barnes, girl’s varsity outdoor track, $5,197
• Jodie Tiernan, girl’s varsity outdoor track assistant, $3,539
• Rachel Vaccaro, modified outdoor track, $1,902
• Joe Stark, golf, $3,010.
Volunteer coaches include: Patrick Roda and Tony Woods for baseball, Danielle Wilson for softball, Ben Stone and Chris Johnson for golf and Shawn Green for lacrosse.
