A recent North Country Matters video features a discussion of youth programs available to school-aged youth through 4-H.
Guests were 4-H Educator Nicki Hamilton-Honey and 4-H Youth and Family Team Leader Casey Caswell from Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, talking with NCM Host Donna Seymour.
The 4-H Youth Leadership program is the largest youth development organization in the world. 4-H clubs and programming can be found on every continent.
The show looks at the in- and after-school programs that 4-H offers, how the clubs are organized, and the summer learning and recreation camps that Cooperative Extension operates. They also talk about the May 20 4-H Open House at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm on RT 68 in Canton, where many 4-H activities and camps take place.
