POTSDAM -- Arby’s, 172 Market St., is being remodeled after 29 years

Owners Carl and Shelley Lofberg say the restaurant will unveil its new look June 19 when the store reopens.

The drive-through window remains open until June 5, when it will close until the whole store reopens.

“This is a complete re-model both inside and out,” the Lofbergs wrote in an email response to our inquiry. “The extensive reinvigoration process reflects the new look and direction of the brand.”[img_assist|nid=199452|title=This is an artist's conception of what the store will look like when remodeling is complete.|desc=|link=none|align=middle|width=470|height=313]

New features will include a community table, free wi-fi, and flat screen TVs.

The Potsdam store opened in 1988.

Arby’s restaurants offer hot and cold sandwiches including a variety of beef, ham, bacon, turkey and chicken offerings, including sliders, along with salads, side orders and beverages, with quick service and quality, the Lofbergs said.

Arby’s promotes its slow roasted and thinly sliced roast beef and newer items like the smokehouse brisket, Rueben and Angus steak. Rounding out the menu are Turkey, Chicken and Market Fresh Sandwiches as well as sliders and salads. Featured sides include curly fries, onion rings, mozzarella strips, and jalapeno bites.

An extra attraction during opening weeks is a chance to meet Mr. Curly Fry and get a picture with him.
