OGDENSBURG -- A pair of Potsdam anglers finished first in the Northern New York Bassmasters second stop of the 2016 season.
The derby was on the St. Lawrence River out of Ogdensburg on June 25.
The club competition brought huge bags of smallmouth to the scales at the end of the day including a 23.24 pounds caught by Chris and John Flint of Potsdam, which took top honors.
Rounding out the top four were Gary Rayner and Gyle Dominy of Colton with 22.39 lbs., Brad Paradis and Robert Paradis of Ogdensburg with 22 lbs. and team Clary and Clary with 20.65 lbs.
Chris Flint registered the lunker of the day, a 5.39-pound smallmouth.
Early team of the year standings top 5 of 31 team leaders are
First - Paradis and Paradis - 395 pts.
Second - Spellicy and Capella - 391 pts.
Third - Sharpe and Gonyea - 390 pts.
Fourth - Moore and Kirkbride - 387 pts.
Fifth - O'Grady and Garrabrant - 385 pts.
