POTSDAM -- A Potsdam native bass angler qualifies for FLW Rayovac championship and will compete with other top fishermen for a $50,000 purse.
Chris Flint, who is also a police officer and blogger, says the FLW Rayovac season ended with the final event on Lake Erie in Ohio. He was able to finish 42nd overall with a second day catch weighing in at 18.8 pounds.
As a result of that catch he finished the season ranked 24th out of 187 boaters in the Pro Division. His standing also qualified him for the FLW Rayovac championship which is an invite only event.
The no entry fee event will consist of the top 40 boaters from each of the five divisions competing for $50,000 and a chance to advance to the Forest Wood Cup which pay out $500,000 to the winner of that event.
The championship will be held on the Ohio River in Paducah, Kentucky Oct. 29-31.
