POTSDAM -- The Robert J. Freego AMVETS Post 282 in Potsdam recently announced the election of officers for 2016.
The new slate of officers and their positions are:

1st Vice- Jerry Deon
2nd Vice- Jeff Sochia
3rd Vice- John Freego
Finance officer- John Saucier
Adjutant- Rick Carrier
Judge Advocate- Patrick Rourke
Provost Marshall- Calvin Williamson
3-year trustee- Howard Wray
AMVETS Post 282 is on Route 11 between Potsdam and Canton. Membership applications are available at the post.
Upcoming events include their sixth classic car show July 3, the monthly Classic Car Cruise-Ins, and a craft fair Sept. 24.
