POTSDAM -- The Robert J Freego AMVETS Post 282 has a free AMVETS membership opportunity from Nov. 8 to 14. The membership will be valid for one year to all qualifying veterans, active duty and ROTC personnel wishing to join AMVETS.
Applications are available at the post at 6771 US Highway 11. A valid DD-214 or other proof of service is required to get your membership and enjoy the activities at Post 282.
The post offers a Sons of AMVETS squadron, a ladies auxiliary, parties, dinners, and a variety of activities for both veterans and their families.
