POTSDAM -- Potsdam Amvets Post 282 recently added Sons Of Amvets members.
Led by Commander David McMartin, the Sons of Amvets looks to add to the post’s community service and veteran support roles. Sons and grandsons of veterans qualify for membership. Applications are available at the post on Route 11 between Potsdam and Canton, or call 261-4764. They meet at the post at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
Potsdam Amvets Post 282 is adding new activities to include a Karaoke Night on March 28 to collect donations of items for the veterans in the Syracuse VA Hospital. It starts at 7 p.m. They will have a list of items needed.
And veterans interested in becoming Amvets members, stop by the post to pick up an application.
