POTSDAM -- Potsdam Municipal Airport is set to receive $126,000 from the state Transit and Aviation Capital Grants program for a project to make Jet-A fuel more easily accessible to transients and to aircraft based there.
The money will cover most of the expected $140,000 cost to establish an above-ground self-service Jet-A fuel farm.
Jet-A is used by jet and turbine-engine aircraft, including the helicopters of Air Methods, an air medical transportation service based at Potsdam's airport.
