POTSDAM – Village police removed a raccoon that appeared rabid from Castle Drive Thursday afternoon.

Police are asking anyone who believes the raccoon made contact was made with a pet or person, to call the Potsdam Police Department at 265-2121.

Police responded to the call at 4:16 p.m.
